Suggestions about external periferics

Hello everybady, I’d like to buy joke, throttle and rudder for IF. Do you recommended me some models? Is it a good idea or is better with gyroscope? Are there any problems? I’d like to use a Ipad cover for support. Thanks

Hello,

Thrustmaster is the most popular choice, though I don’t know too much about other companies. Also if you didn’t know already, you can not connect these devices directly to your iPad, you’ll need a computer as well in order to do that. There are a few third party websites you can use on there, which will stream your control inputs into your iPad.

Hope this helped :)

Hi, thanks for your help. Should I have a powered computer to install these programs or is ok a normal leptop?

I tried using a yoke and honestly it was harder than with tilt controls. Then again my yoke is 💩 (Cheapest Logitech yoke) so maybe that was the problem. At least for Infinite Flight, it seems like it would be easier to control with a sidestick since tilt controls are also about very slight movements so if you do decide to get controls I’d go for a sidestick which is typically cheaper too.

You can buy jokes?

Only kidding, I have a Saitek yoke and it works be very well

Hi, thanks for your answer. So I’ll try with a sidesfick. Is it difficul or you do you just have to get the hang of it? Beacuse I don’t wont to by something that I’ll never use lol

Oh sorry my bad

It was just really hard to make small adjustments and if I turned the sensitivity down I ran out of pitch authority during landing. With a decent sidestick I don’t think this would be as much of a problem. I know a lot of people use external controls with Infinite Flight and can fly fine once they get used to it but idk how you will like it.

Oh ok thanks

Oh happy cake day! We’re twins lol

Really depends on how much you’re willing to spend on it. Thrustmasters are very nice, but will cost a bit more. I’ve had a Logitech that I’ve used for probably 8 years now for P3D and it works fine. They’re only about $35. Never tried any hardware with IF, so I can’t give any advice there.

Thanks mate

What is the cake logo? However thanks

It means it’s the same day you joined here.

Aa ok happy to know
