I have enough experience to be able to tell whether ones drawing has taken 30 minutes or 10 hours in one sitting. The reason I said that is because I have never seen an A4 drawing take 7 hours to complete. Even some of my better drawings on much larger papers that are more realistic don’t even take 7 hours. Obviously, I’m not judging him, I’m just wondering if it actually took him 7 hours non-stop or 7 hours with breaks. When I draw my planes I always do them non-stop. Nothing else, I’m not sure why a fuss was created. He answered my question and @Dan_77’s Long ago. Let’s continue with the awesome drawings 👍😉
Just please be more specific when writing your drawing times.
My realistic plane drawings usually took around 2-4 days to finish, but i do take a lot of breaks and usually spend around 30 minutes to a few hours with each sitting, I also have tendency to get distracted a lot while drawing.
While I do want to share some of my realistic drawings from late 2012-2013 but sometimes i just couldn’t stop myself from sharing my drawings in chronological order.
@A320TheAirliner Wow. Out of curiosity, what tools do you use in those drawings? Or are they freehand? Either way, the detail is astounding on this one. Engines, landing gear, and shadows especially
I used a mechanical pencil with 2B lead for the Iberia A340-600 drawing, and yes, it was drawn freehanded, however, in late 2012 I began to use a ruler for my realistic airplane drawings, as i wanted my drawings to be as realistic and accurate as it could possibly be.
and thank you for your feedback, i’m glad you enjoyed my drawings.
@Islanderpilot123 sorry mate, I’ve been a bit busy these few days and haven’t gotten a chance to work on your drawing yet. I’ll hopefully continue tomorrow. Sorry for the wait!
