First of all, welcome back!
Now, to business. One is your identifier. You carry it around but is irrelevant in your multiplayer experience, unless you want to appeal a violation. Your other is your username; it is what is shown here on the IFC and optionally in-game. You shouldn’t have any problems with those two, I have both of them and never have experienced an issue.
