Straight outta Munich!

You don't deserve to know the Info! 😤

Well, looks like you found it… Howdy, everyone! Yesterday, I flew from Munich to San Diego on Lufthansa’s A350-900. I have a friend in San Diego, and I’m visiting him. So, enjoy this Trip Report as I take you with me to the skies of the World!

This is our Aircraft for today: D-AIXI

I was first class, and I was very excited! I even got to board first! This was my seat:

As we then, finally, pushed back, I saw 2 other Lufthansa Airplanes:

One more A350, and one A380!

As we, then, taxied out to the Runway, I got very excited, since we are extremely heavy!

Takeoff!
The takeoff was pretty normal, but we took off late due to the weight. One of my friends in Munich even got my departure on camera:

As we continued our climb over Germany, I looked out the window to see… Absolutely nothing.

Anyway, once we reached our cruising altitude of 36,000 ft, the flight attendants came around with snacks. The whole climb was very long, since we were pretty heavy. (That’s why they gave me the snacks right after we reached cruising Alt.)

“Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, wie haben unsere Reise-Flughöhe von 10,900 Metern erreicht. Es könnte ein bisschen Turbulenzen geben in den ersten 2 Stunden, aber dann müsste es besser gehen. Geplante Flugzeit: 11 Stunden und 20 Minuten. Danke dass sie Lufthansa gewählt haben, und wir hoffen dass sie einen angenehmen Flug haben. Danke.”

In English: (BTW: Yes, I do speak German)

“Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking, we have reached our cruising altitude of 36,000 feet. There might be a little turbulence in the first 2 hours,
but then it should improve. Planned flight time: 11 hours and 20 minutes. Thank you for choosing Lufthansa and we hope you have a pleasant flight. Thank you.”

Me: Sleeping

I woke up above Greenland, where the FA’s gave everyone the choice between chicken with noodles, or Tofu with rice. I chose the chicken, and man, that was good! Here is a beautiful picture I got from Greenland, by the way:

Another meal service, and a loooooooooong time after, we finally made our descent into San Diego, right as we entered California.

The friend that I came to visit, even got a picture of my plane putting its gear down, as I entered the Glide Slope.

The landing itself was pretty smooth, and we even arrived early. I’ll never forget those 9 hours of jetlag but, let’s move on…

This is a picture I got from my plane at the Gate in SAN:

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this Trip Report. I will also post a YouTube video on my channel (https://youtube.com/@nois-k6k?si=YT0x2v0MovXRqBrL) later today, or tomorrow.
