I think because probably the app could crash many times so it’s more important to fix the problems than give us the open beta with many bugs it could be unplayble ….. if you want to know my opinión , i think we are not far from the open beta one week or less . But come on the waiting will worth it !

in all seriousness tho, it should be releasing very soon cuz the memory issue has been resolved I’m pretty sure, but the full update/release might be rebranded to 26.1
Jagged lines in the shadows is not a showstopper.

There’s absolutely no words good enough to describe this. 
Honestly, Jagged lines or not, it doesn’t change how GOOD this new graphics engine looks.

Ive only been on the sim for over a year at this point but i think this might be one of the biggest updates ever to hit this simulator. I seriously can’t wait!!
Question for any devs out there…
In this update or maybe in a future one, are you guys considering updating the AIRAC to a more recent cycle?

That photo reminds me a bit of that New Dawn photo you posted way back in 2016 
Fun to watch how development has continued to progress over the years - 25.2/26.1 will be a great next step for the sim. Excited both for the upcoming update and also for the future opportunities it might open up (active/casting lights at airports and aircraft, along with real-time shadows for other 3D objects are two of my top wishlist items haha)
