What does the ATC or pilot mean when they say “Infinite flight 2020, Standby”???
Wait for further information pretty much
In the real world (uk) it means sit and wait. You shouldn’t respond to a stand by call with anything
Usually it would be that they are trying to work something out then they will broadcast another message to ATC if i’m not wrong
In simple terms, it’s a way for ATC to tell you to wait while they figure something out or something like that.
Ok! makes sense everybody! thankyou for your help
On the expert server, IFATC can use Standby if they are communicating with another controller and is waiting for a response so they can give the best commands possible
It means wait for further instructions
Did not realise we had so many echo’s
Please don’t say things for the sake of saying it, remember we have over 40,000 members on the community, one is enough…
Happy Flying :D
Check this out as a reference for next time!
Has anyone mentioned already that it usually means “wait for further instructions or requests”?
