It seems as if the checkpoint/waypoint boxes from the Missions mode are being displayed in free flight. Currently departing from Houston with a flight plan imported from simbrief and I can see the red boxes at each of my waypoints.
Just to make sure, in settings - general, do you have “landing aids” unchecked? It’s possible the mission caused it to become checked.
Yes, they are unchecked.
I did the same thing as you mentioned and did end up getting the bug. All I did was close the app and open it back up again. Let me know how it goes.
