St louis planespotting locations

Hello Does anyone know any good places to spot at St Louis Lambert? I’m heading there tomorrow and i need some good places to spot.

Never been, but Spotterguide is a great source. Usually locals will have their own spots as well but if you’re just looking for general places it works very well.

This one seems pretty lacking, but you could try the spot they suggested. If you have a phone, maybe see if you can just find some place to pull over near the approach path (be smart though - don’t block traffic, don’t draw attention to yourself, and respect the cops if approached).

There’s a little grassy area that’s accessible directly under the 30R localizer, been there a couple times and haven’t had any issues

This is the same spot I go to lol. It’s perfect if they’re landing 30R. If not, there’s a few parking lots you can park in. Some might cost a few bucks but it’s worth it.

Ask @STL_planespotter he knows

Hey, for 30R the spot that was sent by @Rybegame is better for belly shots. If you want a more side view I would recommend this spot that I attached. Also I have sent a screen shot of the Boeing area. That is a no photo zone, if they are airborne take as many photos as you like but do not go over there to take photos of aircraft on ground. If you need any spots for 11/29 just lmk. Happy spotting!

Edit: if you are going to 30r I don’t recommend pulling over for long because the police will happily kick you out.

Hello. Thank you for the spots. Would we get in trouble if we pull over around this area? This seems to have a great view. And isn’t the Boeing place designated for employees only? Can anyone seriously just go there?

Also 11/29 spots would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you will unfortunately.

Ok. Thank you

Ok. So @Mattchew this place be ok without trouble right? That’s what people are saying

Yup, I think as long as you’re not right on top of the fence the airport police wont bother you. I have gotten away with staying before as long as you’re nice and say that you will leave soon.

So if I’ll be there for abt an hour or 2 i should be fine? And i can just pull off the road

And if possible @Mattchew did you have any good 11/29 spots?

Yeah a few hours should be fine. As for 11/29 spots T1 cell phone lot is great if they’re departing 29. If landing 11 the Bridgeton municipal athletic park offers a great view of the planes approach.

For 11/29 I could send you a spot with no instructions, and yes do not go north of 30r. Just pull over in the circle by the tower and walk up by the hill.
