Hello folks, welcome to my Spring 2026 Trip to Tokyo 
as I will be posting my journey from 
St. Louis to Tokyo Haneda via Dallas Fort Worth and Hong Kong 
. So in this first part, I’ll be posting my first leg from St. Louis to Dallas Fort Worth aboard American Airlines Flight 2269 on the Boeing 737 MAX 8. So I hope that you enjoy this first leg of the Tokyo journey.
Alrighty, so I went plane spotting back in St. Louis to spot twenty planes on Wednesday in preparation for my Tokyo trip. Then on Friday, I went over to St. Charles to head to Mid Rivers Mall. I went to Charlie’s Cheesesteaks and ate a Philly Cheesesteak 
and drank Dr. Pepper 
. It was delish. I wanted to go see Granddad at around 5:00 PM. As I spent several hours at the mall, it was too late to go see Granddad. So I went home and prepared for the Tokyo trip. Then on Saturday morning, I woke up and finished packing my suitcase and put my passport in my bag so that I never forget since I was traveling Internationally. So I went to see my Granddad and then stopped to buy a medium-sized bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese, Chips A Hoy Chocolate Chip Cookies 
and Mentos Fruit Gum to snack on the big plane trip to Tokyo before I headed home. After arriving home, I packed my snacks and I was set to head to the airport at 4:30 PM. So my Uncle took me to the airport at 4:30 PM and arrived at 4:45 PM for the 6:55 PM flight to Dallas Fort Worth. So, here goes the first leg of this Tokyo journey.
First Flight: American Airlines Flight 2269 - St. Louis to Dallas Fort Worth
Aircraft: Boeing 737 MAX 8
Origin: St. Louis Lambert Int’l Airport (KSTL)
Destination: Dallas Fort Worth Int’l Airport (KDFW)
Flight Time: 2hrs 7mins

After going through security, having my boarding passes handy, I made it to Gate C8 STL airport as my aircraft is parked at the gate after it had arrived from DFW airport. As far as that, boarding commenced at 7:20 PM. So welcome aboard American Airlines Flight 2269 nonstop service to Dallas Ft Worth Texas
We departed Gate C8 at 7:56 PM, taxiing to RWY 12R for our STL departure after the safety demo was demonstrated. We crossed RWY 6 before our preparation for takeoff
We were cleared for takeoff RWY 12R as we lined up before we began our takeoff roll
And off we go as we lifted off RWY 12R from STL airport, airborne - en route to Dallas Ft Worth
. Bye bye St. Louis, c ya later
We banked to our right to Southwest, climbing past Spirit of St. Louis airport, flying over the Missouri River, en route to Dallas
We cruised at FL360 somewhere over Oklahoma
, captured from Seat 23F 
. Biscoff Cookies and AA Themed Bag of Mini Pretzels 
were served. I took out my Doritos to eat along with those, plus I chose Sprite
We descended over northeast Dallas
as we entered the Texas airspace, in preparation for landing on RWY 17C at DFW airport
Suddenly, the pilots made a mistake and had us lined up RWY 17L instead of RWY 17C. So the pilots made the correction by editing the flight plan to apply the APP procedure for RWY 17C where we banked right and then left to be aligned with the correct runway. And now we were on short final RWY 17C for landing into DFW airport
After we landed into DFW, we vacated RWY 17C, crossed RWY 17R and taxied to Gate C24 for our arrival. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
And we just arrived at Gate C24 DFW airport at 9:00 PM. It was time for me to grab my belongings, exit the aircraft and catch the DFW Skylink
to Terminal D to head to Gate D14 to catch my 10:55 PM flight aboard Cathay Pacific Flight 875 Airbus A350-900, a nearly 17-hour flight to Hong Kong .
