Spring 2025 Trip to Iceland - Return: Reykjavik to St. Louis Pt 1

Hello folks, welcome to my return journey as me and my Mama start heading back to the USA while I head back to St. Louis :united_states: and she returns to Palm Beach :desert_island::united_states: . After all the fun that we had at Reykjavik including Plane Spotting, and going out to this restaurant called Hraolestin, it is time for us to start heading home. At Hradlestin, we ate Chicken Thali, which we both chose the Chicken Thali and vegetable dishes with basmati rice, raitha, onion pakoda, and garlic naan. When eating that, the food tasted somewhat different from the foods that we eat in the USA because Iceland has their own food that is different from the USA. So after eating that, we went back to the hotel to start our packing for us to head back to the USA. Then we woke up and started getting ready, and then we grab a ride to the airport. Without further ado, I hope you enjoy these shots of the first leg going from Reykjavik to London Heathrow on BA895 this time on the A320.

First Flight: British Airways Flight 895 - :iceland: Reykjavik to London Heathrow :united_kingdom:
Aircraft: Airbus A320
Origin: Keflavik International Airport (BIKF)
Destination: London Heathrow Airport (EGLL)
Flight Time: 3hrs 15mins
Server: Expert
Date: 3/29/2025

Alrighty, after checking in, and getting our boarding passes, we filled out the form to give to the Immigration Security Officers before we went through the airport security. After going through airport security, we made our way to Gate D21 and here we are at Gate D21 KEF airport, our A320 parked at the gate ready for us to head to London Heathrow :united_kingdom:. So, letโ€™s get this return journey started.

After we had pushed back from Gate D21, we started taxiing down to RWY 1 for takeoff out of KEF. Here we are taxiing towards RWY 28 before crossing it and then continuing for RWY 1.

Alrighty folks, we are about to takeoff RWY 1 as we enter the runway and line up

And we are off to London Heathrow :united_kingdom:, as we lifted off RWY 1. Goodbye Reykjavik. We will see you next time. What a great Spring 2025 vacation at Reykjavik :iceland: we had.

Flying over the ocean as we left the Iceland airspace. Goodbye Reykjavik Iceland :iceland:.

Then we leveled off at FL370 over the North Atlantic Ocean :ocean: en route to London Heathrow, taken from Seat 18F :seat: . Then Sultan Flapjacks :pancakes: or Banana Bread :bread:  was served. This time I chose the Banana Bread  :bread: and Sprite :cup_with_straw: while my mama chose Sultan Flapjacks :pancakes: and Coca Cola :cup_with_straw: . Then later on, trash was collected and then I chewed bubblegum and listened to music :musical_notes: for the remainder of the flight en route to London Heathrow :united_kingdom:.

Then we have began our descent as we entered the UK :united_kingdom: airspace, getting ready for us to land at LHR airport, aiming for RWY 27R.

Here we are on short final RWY 27R LHR airport before touching down into London UK :united_kingdom: once again.

After we landed, on the left, we taxied past that Thai Lion Air A330-900neo, while we were taxiing to Gate B45 for our arrival to LHR.

And here we are as we arrived at Gate B45 LHR airport. Welcome to London UK :united_kingdom: folks. Time to grab our stuff and get off the plane, and maybe we didnโ€™t have to go through airport security. We could just head over to re enter security to get to our next gate for our next flight by catching a train to Terminal 5A and then back to Terminal 5B because thatโ€™s the next gate that our LHR-BOS flight is departing from.

So that completes the first leg of the return flight. I hope you enjoyed that first leg going from Reykjavik to London Heathrow. Stay tune for our next leg on British Airways Flight 203 B787-9 LHR-BOS. Be safe and have a blessed day.
