I was out visiting some old colleagues Saturday and decided to hang around for a bit to catch a few lovely’s coming in on a rare Runway 7 Approach. Wind was flying in from the east at 18knts as the storms brewed up. Well the weather was a big problem with diversions along with a bit of inexperience amongst ATC, TRACON & Center whom had their hands full and I think were also understaffed. Tempers flaring from pilots and controllers. Delays on top of delays.
“Rack ‘em, pack’ em & stack 'em.” Die Hard 2!
For you Classic Airlines fans, I was well prepared & flying the colors!
Anyway, here they are in order as they flew in! Enjoy all!
Lufty 350 (DLH446) from Frankfurt…
Speedbird 350 (BAW219) from LHR…
United 321 (don’t remember where) strolling in…
Frontier 321 in Harper the Gator Livery…
Aer Lingus 330 (EIN59) setting down just as a Tornado watch alert was posted. Very Windy!
Icelandia 757 (ICE671) coming in quick to avoid inbound hail…
And the Baby Princess 220 Air Canada (ACA1075) from Montreal…
A buddy sent this to me.
