Spotting @ JFK 5/30/25

John F. Kennedy International Airport (5/23/25)
Location: John F. Kennedy lnt’l Airport (KJFK)

Hello, and welcome to the fourth JFK spotting post. After my last topic, the shutter on my old camera decided it was was time to call it quits and broke, and because it was pay day it was time to buy a new camera and immediately test it out by putting it to work! Here are the pictures from that day.

Camera Specs: Nikon D5500, Sigma 150-600mm lens/Nikkor 55-200mm

Qatar 77W in Paris Saint Germain colors arriving in from Doha.

How bizzare! An Egyptair canna-bus arriving in from Keflavik!

Touchdown for this Jet

Seems as if WestJet is the only airline to have developed a nice livery nowadays !

Blue Monster arriving in from Miami

GREAT Festival of Creativity arriving in from Heathrow

SQ24 arriving in from Singapore

SATA NEO strobe

And finally, we’ve got these 5 APUs that somehow made the transatlantic trek from Frankfurt

Thank you for viewing! These pictures are of course just a fraction of all the amazing shots I was able to take so I hope you enjoy them as much I did taking them! Be on the lookout for more spotting posts in the future as I now have much more free time!

I’ll never understand how the A343 manages to get off the ground yet alone cruise for over 7 hours :joy:

Very nice pictures, you got yourself a very nice camera there! I read that those were bought by Breeze/JetBlue (or Delta?) to be operated or used as engine spares for the short-term as those PW1500s are quite rare at the moment
