Spotting at HNL for goofs and laughs. @ PHNL

Over the past week, I’ve done 3 morning spotting trips to HNL to check out stuff I wouldn’t see on the mainland. This topic is my favorites from 2 of those, the third will be released whenever I don’t procrastinate on editing photos.

I am going to refrain from posting any of the 40+ 717’s I’ve spotted. ;-;

Indeed! About every morning at 9AM, you’ll see a flight of 4-6 Hawaiian ANG F-22’s depart :)

Used to be F-15s when I was stationed at SUBASE, '96 - '99.

Elements of 4, approaching in diamond, peeling loose to land in order, afternoons… One of the ways of remembering that I wasn’t submerged lol

Got to witness that the same day as catching the ANA A380 from the parking deck actually, first a flight of 2 with them breaking right over for landing. The 4 in a diamond came about 5 minutes after and peeled off one by one, absolute eye candy to watch.
