Spotted a new feature? đź‘€

I can’t decide whether to post this on screenshots and vids but oh well

anyways, as I was filing my flight plan in KLAX about to pushback and taxi to my runway, I noticed a staff member (I think) named Camille (I think, also forgive me I’m not very familiar with the names) was getting tugged into a gate. I was wondering maybe it’s just that bug where you can see a pushback tug when someone is taxiing, until I looked at the engines and saw that they weren’t on . Thought to myself, hold on a minute, did she accidentally pushback in the wrong way or something to where she accidentally got tugged to a gate?

Investigating further, I pressed on my map, and found out with the green lines that show where she was from and where she’s going, that she was from a maintenance apron getting tugged to a gate :eyes: :eyes:.

This got me really excited because I’ve always wanted this feature for a long time (yes, this does happen in real life!) believe it or not, and to confirm that it may be a hidden/unreleased feature being used by a staff member and not some random person that I’m mistaking with, I waited for her to he fully parked onto the gate. And there it is, after parking, it says “parked.” (for those of you who don’t know, the “parked” option is for the devs only at this moment, probably gonna be released to the public for the fleet update soon).

I actually don’t know if someone already made a topic about this or you guys already know about this feature coming, but if you guys do, then I just sound crazy lol. But if you guys don’t, then here ya go! Probably gonna be potentially a new feature very soon, but there’s no confirming if it will even be released to the public at all and it may only be a specific feature for devs. Nonetheless I’m still very excited that I found this out cuz it could be a hint to something big coming soon!!

anyways here is an extra thing I found out and ill be done yapping for the day:

I realized in the moment that when she was parked, the aileron was in a fixed/different position instead of being leveled. I actually don’t know if this is what 787’s actually do IRL when parked though. Just found it interesting

I’ve read the whole topic but I didn’tsee any new feature being mentioned. So here’s my “theory” on what happened.

So, @Camille, was at the parking that you mentioned first, and then he used the push back and pull feature of the tug which is a feature released in the update with the max (I don’t remember its name/number) to make the tug pull the 787 to the gate he ended up at. Also, the ailerons are like this because he most propably just tilted his yoke to the right, or what I do is just connect the autopilot and command it to turn like 20+ degrees to the left or to the right.

I was thinking its a new feature cuz currently there’s a limit to the distance you can push and pull

@737maxlover they are a staff member. This gives them access to special features that are not publicly available!

They’re only a moderator and or beta tester. So some features they have because they’re testing it. They aren’t part of the staff team.

Are you able to squish it?

I’m pretty sure you can just do this with auto pushback.

I’ve tried, and no you cannot.

Might be lol :eyes:

As I mentioned before, there’s a limit to the distance you can push and pull. I tried to do what Camille did, and it doesn’t work

What Camille did was go from a maintenance gate to a passenger gate while being tugged which does happen IRL. That’s why if it IS gonna be a new feature soon (no promises it will be) then I’m excited

If this is going to be a feature, we will probably get to see lots of crowded airports, because numerous people will tug their plane from A to B and back again :joy::face_with_peeking_eye:

maybe this was a sign all along :face_in_clouds::face_in_clouds::face_in_clouds:
