I can’t decide whether to post this on screenshots and vids but oh well
anyways, as I was filing my flight plan in KLAX about to pushback and taxi to my runway, I noticed a staff member (I think) named Camille (I think, also forgive me I’m not very familiar with the names) was getting tugged into a gate. I was wondering maybe it’s just that bug where you can see a pushback tug when someone is taxiing, until I looked at the engines and saw that they weren’t on
. Thought to myself, hold on a minute, did she accidentally pushback in the wrong way or something to where she accidentally got tugged to a gate?
Investigating further, I pressed on my map, and found out with the green lines that show where she was from and where she’s going, that she was from a maintenance apron getting tugged to a gate
.
This got me really excited because I’ve always wanted this feature for a long time (yes, this does happen in real life!) believe it or not, and to confirm that it may be a hidden/unreleased feature being used by a staff member and not some random person that I’m mistaking with, I waited for her to he fully parked onto the gate. And there it is, after parking, it says “parked.” (for those of you who don’t know, the “parked” option is for the devs only at this moment, probably gonna be released to the public for the fleet update soon).
I actually don’t know if someone already made a topic about this or you guys already know about this feature coming, but if you guys do, then I just sound crazy lol. But if you guys don’t, then here ya go! Probably gonna be potentially a new feature very soon, but there’s no confirming if it will even be released to the public at all and it may only be a specific feature for devs. Nonetheless I’m still very excited that I found this out cuz it could be a hint to something big coming soon!!
anyways here is an extra thing I found out and ill be done yapping for the day:
I realized in the moment that when she was parked, the aileron was in a fixed/different position instead of being leveled. I actually don’t know if this is what 787’s actually do IRL when parked though. Just found it interesting ![]()
