Hello everyone! Most of us are familiar with the Kc-135. The aircraft is used for air to air refueling purposes, mainly with the U.S. Air Force. The aircraft is basically an upgraded Boeing 707. Meanwhile, in Japan, a plane of interest (p-1) was created just for the Maritime Self- Defense force. I find this plane to be pretty interesting. It looks like a baby 707/kc-135. The purpose of the P-1 is to patrol the coast for mainly reconnaissance purposes, as well as surveillance, and to detect submarines and other marine vessels. So yeah, just wanted to share this pretty cool… and interesting looking plane I recently discovered.

The KC-135 was developed off of the Boeing 367-80 prototype, not the 707.
Which later developed into the 707. Also most people just slap the label of 707 on the kc-135 anyways lol
Then that proves that most people don’t know what they’re talking about. The KC-135 is dimensionally smaller than a 707. Takes two seconds on the internet to realize they aren’t actually the same plane. Lol

Not as small as the p-1 :P
Yes! I knew I recognized that name.
Rahh!
This one is cool too.
Common name, that is. There’s a Sukhoi as well.
Not like you’d know anything about dimensionally smaller
