Hi everyone! I realize space has not much to do with aviation, and feel free to close it if you choose. But very recently, SpaceX launched their heaviest rocket. Carrying a Tesla and a dummy as a passenger. The car containing the dummy is now orbiting earth and will use earths orbit to catapult it to mars.
This is simply amazing. This reminds me of the movie Apollo 11, as it uses a trajectory path to get the broken space ship back to earth. It is the same situation here. The earth will keep the car just inside the orbit but the car will eventually be catapulted out towards mars. But according to NBC news, it is a little off its trajectory path; so I’m interested to see what happens regarding the car getting to mars.
Space X continues to defy the laws of space in so many ways. And it is amazing to see them launch a rocket that can land itself no problem. Or be able to reuse boosters.
What are your thoughts about this. I would love to hear them :)
