Southwind A330-223

Southwind Airlines A330-223

Link

Southwind Airlines is a Turkish charter airline founded in April 2022 by Cortex Havacılık ve Turizm Ticaret A.Ş. At first, most of the staff and 3 aircraft were provided by Nordwind Airlines. The airline’s main base and headquarters are in Antalya. Due to ties with Russia, in particular with Nordwind Airlines, Southwind was banned from EU airspace in March 2024, but the ban was lifted later in December of the same year.

Like Nordwind, Southwind operates 2 Airbus A330-200 and both of them came from Nordwind. Later on TC-GRB was leased to Qanot Sharq Airlines (but according to Planespotters.net returned on 23 Sep 2025 to Southwind). Both planes equiped with PW PW4170 engines (I was hesitant about creating this topic until Laura mentioned creating PW engines).
