@SouthwestFan ATC Tracking Thread | N/A

Community,
This post is to say that I will be, well, starting my own atc tracking thread. I will let everyone know when I’m live and where. I will control for about 15 minutes and you can tell me how well I did.
Thank you!!!

You should be at least open for 30 mins per session. Common courtesy.

Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it

And you should open your thread when you’re actually ready to control.

Even 30 minutes is bare minimum if you want any sort of traffic or intend to run into scenarios which would help improve your skills.

Opening for 15 minutes tells those that see the post, say, 3 minutes after posting it’s not even worth logging on; you won’t have enough traffic volume to improve your skills; you severely decrease the probability of running into any scenario necessary for practicing or improving in any skill: something you’ve never seen/done before.

But, mostly, 15 minutes is a disservice to pilots and virtually useless as practice.

I will be air traffic controlling at KMIA if you would like to take part in my atc session.

If you will be open for at least 30 min… l will drop by for some pattern practice !!!

I will. I am currently on now

Do you prefer props or jets ?

Doesn’t matter. Whichever you like. I actually prefer passenger jets

I have now closed. If you were in my airspace, please give feedback. Don’t say anything too harsh, just say it in a polite way. Thank you!!!

Me and my VA where doing a group flight, please learn to only use one side of the airport. You used 26’s and 27’s and 08’s and 09’s all at the same time! You should of used the east side of the airport only 27, 26L & R, and 30 as in real life right now those are the runways in use at MIA. When i called inbound you cleared me to land without giving me a pattern entry eg enter left/right downwind etc. You also need to sequence. Sequence, give entrys and clear. And use only one side of the airport not both. Thank you!

@Cpt_Chris I’m sorry. I’m very new at this and I’m not totally sure how to properly atc yet. I’m still working on it and I’ll try to get better

I was flying as IFC1018, first a 777 then a CCX. Overall, your service was good. The airspace was slightly busy, and you were controlling both Ground and Tower at some points, which I think isn’t the best idea. Switching back and forth undoubtedly caused some slight delays. Personally, my service was good, with only a couple slight delays in the response times, both of which were related to Ground. The tower was very good, I was listening to the frequency and watching on the map, and you seemed to have a handle on all the aircraft movements in and around the airspace. 7.5-8/10 from me.
