Just tried to get them on my ATL-DAL flight. No luck. I’ll try again on my next leg. All they had was Lone Star One lol.
That decal alignment on the left winglet
look at the top![]()
Im pretty sure it is cause the front of the scimitars are heated so they cant put the sticker that far forward
If only that were the excuse. The only parts of the wing that are heated are the polished surfaces, such as the leading-edge slats and engine inlets.
Realistically, they’re probably cut like that to avoid wear and tear. The leading edge surface takes the brunt force of the air, as well as other things like dust and rain.
The edges aren’t even really straight. It’s like a five year old cut it out. None of the decals fit properly. Why I’ll be glad when they’re removed. And they just look sort of tacky to me.
God they kind of over did it with the painted winglets and decals. The grey added visual clarity and made things less wild.
ik this comment is from a while ago so come at me, but wasn’t the CB 732 an accident? That’s what I was told.
New Mexico One spent the night here at ATL last night after a last minute swap. Haven’t seen it in a little while, bus this livery will always be special to me since it was the first special I ever flew on. Of course that was on the original -700 (N781WN) in 2015.
The inside has the new seats too, they are quite comfortable!
The new recaro seats? That’s actually good to hear.
Yeah, with the USB outlets and everything. Definitely my favorite seats out of all the ones I’ve had the privilege to sit on. They looked brand new the other day when I flew on it.
I’m happy to hear that the new seats are comfortable and actually good. I’ve never liked Recaro seats so hopefully these new ones can change my mind a bit.
In terms of Special Livieries, I have actually never flown on any sadly
. I have seen Freedom One, Independence One, and New Mexico One. I was supposed to be on Freedom One a few years ago but it got switched last minute
I think that’s because these topics are supposed to be a conversation, not a one man show.
Well that thread was for updates.
The chances are really low too - they have what, 17? And I think 800+ in the fleet.
I’ve only flown on two of their specials, and those were years ago. I haven’t flown on any of theirs in a long time. Hell, I rarely see their newer specials at all!
I’ve flown on one special (Imua One), but I’ve also flown on aircraft that were different from standard aircraft, such as N8717M. Not a special, but it does have a plaque in the L1 door and fully painted upper winglets
The other one, N8859Q, isn’t really special or different. It just happens to exist as a model from NG
I didn’t get this model at the time cause I didn’t even know about it, but a 1:200 version of it is getting released soon
I plan on ordering it too! Hopefully they get the color right - which shouldn’t be a problem as they got their -700’s correct, exited to see how this -800 turns out any time now too. Also on that 1:400 version they didn’t paint the winglets accurately, hopefully they get that right on the 1:200 or that will be something I can’t unsee![]()
