Sadly, Southwest isn’t doing much in terms of liveries right now. And that means there isn’t much else to go after, which is quite sad
I have a feeling it will only be a matter of time. No updates, but tbh we might not get any.
The whole reason this thread started was because Southwest announced that they would be transferring the two retro liveries onto brand new MAX’s. They also mentioned how Tennessee and Illinois One would return as well since they had been repainted into the standard Heart livery.
Since then, the most recent repaints have just happened on their own. There hasn’t really been an announcement or anything published by Southwest officially as far as New Mexico, California, Lone Star, and Triple Crown One.
Given that Southwest is still actively repainting aircraft, more specials will become due for their routine repaints (around 6-8 years). Arizona, Louisiana, and Florida are approaching their routine repaint cycles. As I’ve done for the most recent repaints, just keep an eye on aircraft activity on FR24 or FlightAware and take note if any of them are arriving into Spokane (GEG) for an extended amount of time. The -800’s are actively being repainted with fresh coats, so eventually I’m sure they will be repainted like the others.

The rest of them could come pretty quickly with Southwest changing their seating style for assigned seating in 2026. I’d imagine repainting and cabin reconfiguration can happen back-to-back.
