Ah, nice. I’m really excited for the MAX to come out so I can properly fly to Hawaii instead of using a -800 (although I did once see a -800 go from the mainland to the islands).
ive flown on a SWA -800 IRL from OGG-SJC
back in 2021
Me toooo! I know we operated all -800s down there when the MAX kept having its tantrums lol. Love the max and can’t wait for it but in real life, i think i appreciate the regular 800 a bit more
The NG series is tried and true!
I think it’s the winglets and the engine sounds… they’re sexyyy😝
Sick. I saw the -800 flew out to Hawaii this year.
Will be a sad day when we’re left with just the MAX for our fleet
It will. But in the meantime, I’m hosting this event at Burbank, and it’s all NG series. Let me know if you want a slot! The Professional Burbank Fly-In Fly-Out
Ahh I’d love to! My schedule is all over the place though so I’d hate to commit and then not make it. But if i can, it may be more last minute!
They have 25% of the market share here in the City Beautiful, and that’s saying a lot. Not an official hub though…yet 😔
Fellow Tennessean! Personally, I have more of a connection with Delta since one of my friends is a 757/767 captain with them, but I’m excited to see what WN does at gome.
I love Delta! Flew them for the first time last month! Definitely my second airline! Rumor has it though that one of the legacy carriers is visiting The idea of making Nashville a hub given its wide expansion over the last several years. Though I’d love for it to be Delta, i doubt it will be. I feel like it would most likely be United. But I’d be happy with any of them. I run a crash pad for Southwest flight attendants just 10 minutes from BNA so it’d be great to look into opening it up to another airline so i could get more people in here
Yeah, United is lacking a proper southeast hub and Houston requires you to fly halfway across the country. If Delta does do anything, I think it’ll be trying to make BNA into an alternative to Atlanta, similar to what Osaka is to Tokyo and Gatwick is to Heathrow, since BNA is closer to ATL than RDU is.
I only fly southwest since they operate in my area
I think there were two reasons why they avoided the actual Hawaii flag as the livery:
- It would’ve looked similar to Freedom One
- Most people would’ve been confused about the Union Jack and thought it was a British livery for the UK.
Imua One definitely took me by surprise, but everybody I know loves it and thinks it’s a really cool design, so I think Southwest did it right. If it’s the only state livery without the flag, then I’m cool with it.
I’ve seen that aircraft a number of times but I don’t know if I got any photos of it.
Shoot, I accidentally deleted it, I’ll put it back up here again. This was from 2020, not long before California One N943WN was repainted
Were any of y’all aware that Illinois is in the process of redesigning their state flag? Here are the top ten finalist designs.
Wonder what will end up happening to Illinois One, especially since it was just repainted in 2022…
That top middle is pretty nice
