Most of these routes begin in early June while the rest inaugurate in the last week of June.
Southwest Airlines will be going head on against some form of competition in every one of these new routes. This marks the first time Southwest Airlines will operate passenger flights from Hawaii to Phoenix, Las Vegas, and the highly competitive Los Angeles.
The Phoenix and Las Vegas to HNL/OGG flights will operate with the Boeing 737 MAX 8 and one of two daily Los Angeles to HNL flights operate with the MAX.
If your talking the passenger experience, yes, but if your talking the range, the MAX-8 has a range of 3550nm, which means if SWA really wanted to they could fly HNL-MCI
