Some issues on the Server

Firstly, I want to talk about the server that loves to disconnect but can’t reconnect automatically like before the update. If I got disconnected from the server, I have to disconnect my wifi and reconnect it so I could go back online, and that’s pretty annoying. I’m using my iPhone X hotspot with Telkomsel provider for playing, I play other games like PUBG or watching youtube very smooth and didn’t have issues like lagging or error, so I think there’s something wrong with this server.

Second, The impact from the issues I mentioned on the first part, several times I experienced problems not being able to contact ATC, I could send messages to ATC, I could also hear other pilots and ATC communicating, but my messages didn’t go to ATC and ATC messages didn’t go to me.

Third, another impact from disconnected from server, I’m unable to reconnect to the server while controlling. Unlike when flying, where if we get disconnected from the server, we can simply reconnect the Wi-Fi or cellular data and get back online. However, if this happens while controlling, we have to end the session, close the Infinite Flight app, and then reopen it to re-control, which is really troublesome.

Last, I was descending from FL360 to 6000ft and arriving to Hongkong in about couple minutes but controller can’t receive any messages, then I close the app and going to do resume flight expecting go back to 30 minutes ETE to Dest, but it turns out I’m going back to 03:03 ETE to Dest :slight_smile:

Ive experienced this before, it’s annoying. The staff can’t find out any issues with the ATC messages. I experienced it again when arriving into LHR. I had no connection issues during the flight, but I can’t contact EGLL radio or Center :frowning:

We know that certain service providers are troublesome with us, so we’re very much aware of certain issues :slight_smile:

That said, 25.1 will come with some different server configurations with loads of changes made that hopefully will help with this. Hard for us to know 100% given that we’re simply unable to verify connectivity with all the service providers around the world :slight_smile:

I think a staff member tried to find this issue, but couldn’t find it. It was in a different thread.

I’m experiencing these issues, too. currently on a flight from KTM to BKK. I disconnected 2 times and reconnected by doing the airplane mode trick; now, as I’m writing this, it happened again. disconnected from multiplayer sever, global serve,r and API service.i think most are experiencing some issues with the server right now. i saw an aircraft going forward with a pushback tug, so I knew something was wrong off the bat.

This is 100% not a server issue.
Global Server and Multiplayer Servers are entirely independent from one another. Even hosted in completely different data centers on different continents. So, I’m afraid that is something on your end with 100% certainty…

1600+ people actively flying right now. If this was a case of “Most having issues” - reports of this would look very different :slight_smile:

Hi schyllberg! I just redo my flight to Hongkong for 3 hours if you see the issue I mentioned earlier. And it happened again, at first I can contact ATC very well, until the Hongkong Approach ask me to change to Zuhai Approach, I only can hear other pilot communicates with ATC and ATC communicate with other pilots, but I didn’t receive any instructions from the ATC, and I don’t know if my request got to them. Luckily they know my issue and let me landing safely, wonder if this issue happen to other pilot that didn’t join IFATC, they might be get reported :)) well they can ask for appeals, but still they might be very stressful :slight_smile:

I have had the same issue before. Try to connect using another courier/ISP. Or use a VPN and try. It should work.
