So I got the essential phone recently, as an upgrade from my previous device (iPod touch 6th gen). It has decent specs: snapdragon 835, 4gb RAM and 128gb storage. It should run this sim flawlessly, but it’s not. It seems slightly more laggy than my old iPod. I feel this might be an optimization issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you restart the device and clear any apps that may be running, what android is it running?
Also can you take a look at device performance and see what the ram memory looks like

Try using wifi if you have one available to you - you might notice it working better

Hey, no problem man - I’ve noticed before its spotty with mobile data sometimes.
It’s why I prefer using my wifi since IF does constantly gather data throughout flight
