Some of you might know Waypoint, our live map. Today I’d like to show you our second project: Skydle, a free aviation guessing game.
You get a satellite picture of an airport and try to work out which one it is. After every wrong guess you see how far off you are and in which direction.
There’s a daily puzzle that’s the same for everyone, a quick Classic mode with five airports, live duels against other pilots, a Battle Royale for eight players, and a party mode to play with friends. There are also small quizzes with aircraft silhouettes, callsigns and liveries.
You can paint your own little 3D aircraft, join a club, or build your own maps for others to play.
The daily puzzle works without an account. For multiplayer you can sign in with Discord, Apple or Google.
New: Skydle Tails — guess the airline from its tail, solo, in Duels and in Party rooms
How well do you know your liveries? A tail fin sits under a coat of dust, and every wrong guess blows a little more of it away. Type the airline, you get five tries.
• 198 airlines to start with, all drawn by us — from Lufthansa and Emirates to Air Greenland, Binter and Air Tahiti Nui
• solo runs of ten tails: 1,000 points for a first-try hit, fewer with every extra try
• three levels: Easy shows big holes in the dust right away, Hard only small bits, for up to ×2 points
• Duel: the race for the tail — the same tail for both of you, fewer tries and the faster answer wins the round
• Party: play it with your friends in a Party room
• no logos or lettering anywhere, just colours and symbols, so you really have to know the tail
Tails Duels are just for fun: they give XP and keep your streak, but don’t touch your rating or coins.
You’ll find it in Skydle under Tails. Fully translated into all 25 languages.
