After an enjoyable time in Bali for a couple of days I hopped out of bed and ran to the airport for the next step in my adventure! I have to admit Bali airport makes it very easy with everything very simple and streamlined, I just wish the air-con worked a little better! As I was waiting for my flight I went to the Hard Rock Cafe inside the airport to add another themed shot glass to my collection and on my way back to the gate got a shot of the aircraft I would be flying to Melbourne!

Once I had gotten onto the plane I got snuggly into my seat 20A with a view over the wing. As it was a single aisle aircraft it did not take long for the plane to fill and before I knew it we were rocketing down the runway departing Indonesia.

As we departed out I said one last goodbye to Indoesia as we banked past Lombok and the Gili’s.

After a couple of hours we got served lunch and while eating were treated with views of the Northern Australian coastline as we entered Australian Airspace.

As we began out descent into Melbourne I looked out over the Red desert of the Australian Outback and started to look forward to all of the delicious coffee’s I was going to be treated to in Melbourne.

After 5 Hours and 18 Minutes in the air we touched down in Southern Australia with a gentle crosswind.

Once we parked up at gate D2 in Terminal 2 I hopped off, grabbed myself a coffee and took a picture of the aircraft that I spent the last few hours on.

Honestly it is a lot of fun! Reminds me a lot of Pokemon tbh. But the thing is, because most of the airlines in my area use the same aircraft for the same routes over and over I have caught most of the planes in the area now. So now mostly just use it when I travel. This route for example was caught while in Gili Trawangan.

How do you randomise the flights in SkyCards? I’m going to try that out.

I typed every single one of my catches into a google sheet and then found a website that spits out a random number based on a range you give it. So I fly the corresponding route to the number given.

I currently have 3,553 and counting haha. I will be doing this for a while!

It’s really complicated. I’ve been doing mine for like 2 months and haven’t even properly started the 737 family. Pro tip: download the flights into myflightradar and then export them to sheets

Very good advice! I just grinded it out over a week and typed them all out. Just started with an aircraft and then just went through them all.
