I woke up on a beautiful morning in Copenhagen not looking forward to leaving the perfect temperature, however, my journey must continue! I headed to the airport kissing the cool 5-11C weather behind as I headed to sunny Malaga. I did not have to use the check in coutners as I was flying Ryanair, so I was through and into the airside of the terminal pretty quick. Given I was flying budget this time I had a quick stop at the Gasoline Grill near the C gates to get some takeaway for the plane before contiuing my journey to gate F5 where we would be boarding the plane using stairs on the tarmac.
Once I was onboard I found myself in seat 20A just at the back of the left wing. Boarding took a while as noone listened to the row announcements from the ground staff and just stuff themselves into the plane. But after a bit of waiting we were underway and departing runway 22R for the Spanish coast!
Before long we were already entering German airspace and beginning to level out, but before I could pull out my burger and fries I bought for lunch the cabin crew walked around selling the airlines confectionaries. I thought it was best to wait until after they had finished before pulling out my own food.
I finished my “packed” lunch as we flew over Paris. I tried to crane my neck a little and scan the Parisian skyline from above to see the Eiffel Tower, but unfortunately I was unable to spot it in the mass of buildings.
After what was honestly quite a boring flight staring at my phone and out the window, we began our descent into Malaga with a view of the desert in Central Spain. At this point I was starting to imagine the heat I will be met with upon arrival and even started to pre-emptively sweat.
3 Hours and 15 Minutes after we departed the Danish capital we landed in Malaga with what was, for Ryanair’s standards, an exceptionally smooth landing!
Taxiing took a while as we landed on the South side of the airport using runway 13 and our parking bay was on the North side in Remote Bay 81. Once we arrived I was quick to hop off so I can take a picture of the plane on the tarmac before getting on the bus to the terminal.
