Singapore’s National Day is coming up on August 9, marking 61 years of independence. To mark this occasion, I thought it would be a good idea to recreate one of the most beloved aspects of the yearly National Day Parade- the Air Force display, in Infinite Flight.
Bear in mind that this will be CHALLENGING and include maneuvers UNFAMILIAR to most IF pilots, myself included. There is no ILS on all aircraft in this event. The bulk of flying will be done manually. Hence this event will be on Casual, as some accidents may occur.
In the unlikely event a pilot does crash for any reason, the event will continue as scheduled. A flight plan will be generated and posted, however the lead aircraft should expect to use visual aids such as Marina Bay, the Padang and the coastline.
DESCRIPTION
Approach National Stadium from South, over Marina Bay.
Starboard and Port wings to roll.
All aircraft to accelerate, except aircraft following formation leader.
All aircraft to peel off formation and climb- aircraft behind formation leader to follow leader in climb.
After passing over general area of the Stadium, decelerate and break formation. A line formation is recommended for quick landing. RNAV highly recommended.
This is based on NDP 2025, circumstances may change. But most importantly, have fun!
Feel free to suggest any changes, this is my first time planning an event!
@Petre2026@SledDriver since you are in GAF, can I ask how you coordinate virtual airshows and formation flights? Do you usually all join a zoom meeting or something to coordinate via audio?
This will be the flight plan- as we approach the National Stadium, we disengage autopilot, starboard and port wings roll, and the leading fighter continues straight, and all fighters climb.
