Hey guys! It’s David Berman from ELAL Virtual Airlines. I’m thinking of booking a flight from New York to Singapore for the summer. I have around 3 options. I could either fly Emirates, Qatar, or Singapore Airlines. I’ve already been on the Emirates A380. But yet i still loved it. Which one should I go on for this trip?
Hi I live in Singapore. I personally find Singapore airlines tooo expensive on long routes so j recommend one of the Middle east airlines. I don’t know them well but know they have a better value for money!
I would suggest to take Singapore Airlines if you would like to have a pleasant experience of Singapore’s Hospitality. I can guarantee that you won’t regret your decision to take SIA even at economy
But if you are taking cost of the tickets more, I would highly suggest to try Qatar. Even though their Economy may not be as superb as what they can offer in Business, but sometimes Qatar is cheaper than SIA in Economy.
Actually it depends on your date of departure and your luck. Sometimes SIA can offer great offers lately and unexpected promos for certain routes, so why don’t you give it a shot if it’s cheaper than Qatar or Emirates? 😉
You seem like the right person to ask this question… do you know when Singapore Airlines is starting a350 service to NY? I heard it was sometime in 2018.
Although just a heads up @Davidberman , the aircraft will only have a two class configuration (no economy) so it will probably be very expensive.
Yes, but unfortunately it wouldn’t be affordable to take this non-stop flight. I meant the lowest class on ULR will be Premium Economy and SIA is known for their high prices in PE unfortunately (It could cost double of the Economy price!) unless you can redeem it with miles. I would highly suggest to take JFK-FRA-SIN section rather than that one. I’m sure the Economy Saver will be lots cheaper than the nonstop one.
Hey, i know that this doesnt exactly answers your question but why dont you simply go to Momondo and search for the cheapest flight? After that, if the price difference isnt that big, you could choose what you want (personally i d rather SQ).
Sounds like Singapore is the better option! I don’t want to worry about price. I want to have a great experience SIA does look like a beautiful plane. It’s huge! The thing about Qatar is that it does have a layover in Doha and Emirates has a layover in Dubai so I’d much rather have a layover in Dubai than Doha 😂
SIA is a good airline, no doubt. But Emirates and Qatar are better when it comes to service. The staff are friendly in all of these airlines, so you don’t have to worry about hospitality. My recommendation would be Qatar, as you have already flown with Emirates. Trying something different is always good.
