Singapore Airlines to start A350 to Brisbane

Today, Singapore Airlines have announced the introduction of the A350-900 on its 4x daily (from 22 AUG 17) service from SIN-BNE. The A350 will feature on the SQ235/256 (starting 16 OCT 17), SQ245/246 (starting 16 DEC 17) and the SQ255/236 (starting 16 JAN 17) services. SQ265/266 will retain the Boeing 777-200ER.

As a local planespotter at Brisbane International, this is fantastic news as it increases the variety of aircraft at BNE (we currently receive Cathay A359 but doesn’t arrive until around 2300 and departs at around 0100, so not very friendly for planespotters) and means a fantastic increase in quality and business class services on this route. Premium Economy will also now be available on these services.

Ima get the camera out, walk to the airport and get some pictured of the A350.

Hopefully I can fly this route one day!

It would be a nice addition for Brisbane actually with the arrival of the second A350 flight 😊, but this addition will also reduces the Economy seats available. This is a bad news for those who commute from Sydney as the reduction of Economy will rise the ticket prices unfortunately. But this would be a good news for Business Travellers as it will mean a rise of Business and PEY seats on the route

So happy to actually have an A350 come to YBBN at daytime, can’t wait to spot them!
