Singapore Airlines is going to pull out from Sao Paulo

It’s sad to hear SIA is going to pull out from South America
Currently, SIA operates a fifth freedom route to Sao Paulo (SIN-BCN-GRU) with a B77W as SQ68 and SQ67 with the first flight on March 2011

The last SIA service to Sao Paulo is scheduled to be on 20th October 2016

Don’t worry. It’s probally only a precaution. Singapore doesn’t want Zika. I’m sure after the epidemic is over SIA service will return to São Paulo.

But as some media stated that the reason why SIA wants to pull out because of lack of demand

Trust me, there’s more behind the story. After the Olympics, there will be a worldwide Zika Pandemic.

I heard this flight had crappy loads and/or yields.

Oh well, this was an interesting flight :/

Yep Zika, nothing to do with the really poorly performing Brazilian economy which has affected most carrier to São Paulo and caused reductions in frequency to that city ;)
