Airbus celebrated the delivery of its 10,000 aircraft on 14 October 2016, with Singapore Airlines receiving a new A350-900 at a special ceremony.
The aircraft is the sixth A350 delivered to Singapore Airlines, which has ordered a total of 67 of the cutting-edge new planes.
Emblazoned with a special “10,000th Airbus” logo, the plane will be used to launch the airline’s new Singapore to San Francisco direct route later this month. The long-haul route’s flying time will vary between 14 hours and 35 minutes, and an epic 17 hours and 45 minutes, depending on direction and winds.
This is a very special milestone livery that I believe should be immortalised in IF. Singapore Airlines is lucky to have the privilege of having the 10000th Airbus aircraft, which fits so harmoniously with the Singapore Airlines livery. Really am deeply in love with 9V-SMF!
Yup, back to last year when they delivered their 10,000th aircraft as 9V-SMF ;)
Fun Fact : SIA Group has operated every single Airbus Aircraft type! From Airbus A300 until Airbus A380 and Airbus A350 (A320 is used by SLK and TGW) for years!
Good news! We are most likely getting this livery with the A350. On instagram Infinite flight uploading a picture with an A350 using the Singapore showing it being developed.
