Singapore Airlines 777-300ER Singapore to Sydney

Second leg of a trip Down Under with Singapore Airlines. It’s also my first flight with the Singapore 777 in several months.

Server: Solo
Airline: Singapore Airlines
Aircraft: Boeing 777-300ER
Origin: Singapore Changi Airport, Changi, Singapore (SIN)
Destination: Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, Mascot, Australia (SYD)
Flight Number: SQ211
Route: WSSS-YSSY
Seat: 1F (First Class)
Time En Route: 7 Hours 13 Minutes

After a layover of several hours, we’re going to be boarding our aircraft at Gate C24 for the trip down to Sydney soon. Our aircraft is one of Singapore Airlines’s 22x 777-300ERs. Up until the Pandemic in 2020, Singapore also operated the 777-200ER and non-ER 777-300 for routes in the Asia-Pacific region. Their retirement leaves the -300ERs as the only 777s in passenger service with the airline until the 777-9s arrive.

Getting seated in our First Class suite. The 264-seat 777s have 4x of these suites, with only 2 of them having window views.

Lined up on Runway 20C for takeoff

Rocket departure for this lightly-loaded Triple 7. Due to how humid it is in Singapore and because the fog layer isn’t entirely gone, we’d likely be seeing condensation in the engine intakes and erupting over the leading edges of the wings IRL.

Looking behind us at Bali at 37,000 feet. This suite is likely the best First Class hard product in the game these days, ahead of even Emirates.

Cruising over Western Australia near Balgo Hill

Final descent over the outskirts of Sydney

Good evening Sydney!

Single-engine taxi to our gate at Terminal 1

Deplaned at Gate 60 and headed off to the baggage claim before trying to find some dinner
