I’ve noticed that simbrief skips waypoints for Infinite flight when flying overseas. Are there any other detailed flight planners that I could use that cover waypoints overseas?
What kind of “skipping” do you mean?
Here too, a little more context is needed for us to provide you with the correct information.
How did you insert the flight plan? Fix by fix, or copy paste?
What I can see in the lower screenshot is that waypoint DCT is in the search bar multiple times?
One thing that helps me to ensure I’ll file the correct fixes is converting the simbrief FP through fpltoif.com!
If you know the waypoints that were missing couldn’t you search them up and add them in?
This is indeed true. Often, “missing” fixes do actually exist in-game, just fill in their name and they will still show up!
There is always the old fashioned way; build the FPL when you spawn in for your flight. ;)
I never copy/paste lol, no matter how large the flightplan, I hand fill every single fix to make sure it’s all correct
Yep I do the same. I only copy if I’m doing a group flight
But to get back to your issue… The thing is, simbrief often presents their flightplans using airways, and only showing entry/exit fixes, everything in between is filed automatically when entering the fpl into an aircrafts nav systems.
Unfortunately, IF’s systems aren’t that advanced, which is why fpltoif was called to life: to “translate” a simbrief plan to one that’s usable in the sim.
Anyone with more knowledge, feel free to correct me, this seemed like the most logical explanation to me :)
Many of them do see to be missing . I’ll check FPL converter
Many are missing there too
Does it happen to show the names of the waypoints on the converter?
Yes it does show the waypoints
Try looking up the missing waypoints on IF
Doesn’t show most of them
What flight planners do you guys use and how?
I don’t use any, I just create the FPL once I spawn in
The best thing to do is to look at the routing and enter in each individual waypoint manually.
