Silver Airways Ceases Operations

In a sudden statement released by Silver Airways, they have ceased all operations as part as a bankruptcy restructure.

Silver Airways operated a fleet of 8 ATR turboprop aircraft primarily within the state of Florida and a few tropical destinations in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean.

Oh Nooooooooo, what actually Led them to Bankruptcy?

And what will they do with the Fleet?

They sold all their aircraft. No one bid for them during their bankruptcy auction.

I’m going to miss seeing their ATRs and Saabs in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach

Well that came out of nowhere…

Never heard of them, but it’s sad to see airlines regardless of their size shutdown.

yeppppp I knew this day would come. no sales from the liquidation auction didn’t sound like any good to me. that really sucks because they were the last (iirc) ATR operator in the states.

Happy I was able to see them at least once. One of the prettiest liveries in the sky, now gone too soon.

Omg nooo not the last commercial passenger operator of the ATR Family in left in the US. I would have absolutely loved to fly on them had i got the chance too :sob:

Oh nooo they had such a nice livery and were a great budget airline!
