Final approach!
This Sichuan Airlines A330-300 (B-300V) has quite an interesting backstory. Originally delivered in October 2018 to China Southern Airlines, it was the first A330-300 completed at Airbus Tianjin facility — featuring cabin installation, painting, and final delivery all done in China. In June 2024, the aircraft joined the Sichuan Airlines fleet as part of China Southern’s equity support for Sichuan Airlines.

I made wrong. Shuangliu-1 is 333.
An uncommon Sichuan Airlines A330-300 departed from Sydney in the afternoon to Chengdu Tianfu. This flight usually leaves at night, but due to a technical issue the previous evening, it was cancelled and rescheduled for an afternoon departure the next day.

Nevertheless, the 川航 livery design is one of my favourites, much needed on the A330

Yes, in the current season Sichuan Airlines usually operates around four weekly flights split between Chengdu–Sydney and Chengdu–Melbourne, using the A332/A333. Unfortunately, due to multiple factors like fuel costs, the frequency is expected to drop to around 2–3 flights per week from May.
