Show controlled ATC airspace on Map

The idea is that, like the 3 circles for airspace classes around airports, there should be an additional circle which shows an active airspace.

For example: If Approach is active, there should be a green circle with a 60nm radius (I’m not sure about the exact number anymore). If Tower is also active there should be another one with a 27nm radius.

This is useful for pilots because they can see that they’re approaching an active airspace. It also helps the ATC controller because they can see whether a plane is already in their airspace or not.

Not bad but out of votes. Sorry I wish I could vote for this though. Good luck and don’t forget to vote for your own topic. ;)

Yeah, I’m out of votes too so I can’t even vote for my own suggestion anymore :D

It’s not the most important thing. That’s why I won’t delete one of my other votes. I create the suggestion anyway since I think it would be a neat little change.

Ok well good luck my friend and I hope that this gets added and make this current ATC less complicated.

A very good idea which a lot of users would like to see! I will try to clear up a vote!

Does this kind of feature exist in real life?

Isn’t that what the green dots do on the airport demarcation?

Then you click on it and it says e.g. “1 ATC, 2 ATC, etc”

Yes. But those dots only show active ATC. They don’t show the controlled airspace on the map.

I understand the gist of what you are saying and fwiw, it sounds like a plausible suggestion however, if you are that close to that particular airspace you should have already contacted approach, or departure.

Secondly, this may be all good on the Expert Server but on the training server, you might as well put a neon sign up that reads “come aggravate me” Just my .02
