Device: iPad Air 2020, 4th gen Operating system: iOS (latest update)
Hi! So I noticed that my relatively new iPad (Sep 2020) can now only last for about 2 hours on battery while running IF before it drops to 0%. I have low power on and turn my brightness down all the way, but still have the same issue. So I always have to keep it charging. Is that normal for a 3 year old iPad?
What I do Once I hit 10,000 FT I turn my brightness down all the way. But before turn off bluetooth close all your applications turn on low power mode and don’t use those little charges that apple use to give you in the phones use a bigger one.
No, it sounds pretty normal to me. A three year old device with a lithium battery is bound to have battery degradation. With regular use you can expect around 10-20% battery degradation after 3 years and potentially more if the iPad is heavily used.
Also, infinite flight is a demanding and power hungry app, so therefore the battery will be drained quicker. @Georges180305 My suggestion for you is to keep your iPad plugged in while flying and check your battery health.
