This past weekend, I had a chance to spot at SFO during my visit back in the Bay for Thanksgiving. My goal for the two days was to spot the recently returned Lufthansa A380 and SAS A350. As they both departed and arrived at night, it was difficult to try and get sharp photos especially since SFO is not the most nighttime friendly airport for departures and arrivals. I did not end up getting sharp shots of either plane on both days, but I got some other cool shots.
The Emirates A380 taking its time crossing the 1s on its way to runway 28R.
A United 757-200 passing “over” Air India’s B77W. Sad to hear that United will likely retire their 757s earlier than anticipated, by 2027, and they will increasingly become rarer.
Another United 757, this time the -300 model, rolling down runway 1R. I somehow managed to capture this handheld at 1/25 shutter.
Really cool that SFO is the only U.S. destination for Vietnam Airlines.
A BA 777 taxiing to the gate.
