Aeromexico will no longer be coming to Santiago until October or December of this year. I have no idea what the reason was.

This seems like a route with high demand, why would they discontinue it? Does LATAM serve it or will it go unserved?

Is it possible they will replace it with a service to the newer airport in Mexico City instead?

Check this out. No official reason has been told yet, however, it can also be Aeromexico’s focus on Asia and Europe right now…

That seems plausible. It would be interesting to be on a flight from Mexico City to say, Tokyo and see who’s on board. Is it mostly Mexicans, Japanese people, business, leisure: what brings people onto this flight.
