Separate Throttle

It would help taxiing with one engine when fuel burn is implemented, what do you think. Leave a like if you want(no polls please)

This would be interesting…

And the ability to start the engine, knowing IF they will probably just introduce a button (hopefully they make it realistic and complex)

My concern is the space. Remember that IF is designed to be used on mobile platforms, so there wouldn“t be enough space to have each throttle lever for the aircraft.

Then there should be an option to set it to only single throttle like we have now

Maybe an extra window. You keep the single throttle control on the main screen, but you have the number of throttles for each engine on an extra window, just like the pushback and lights page.

I know a lot of airbus operating companies taxi on one engine then fire up the other engine just before takeoff

It has been discussed to introduce a start-button for engines. It would be possible then to just start the first one, taxi, then start the second one. That would solve the problem you get with two or more throttle levers.

At least with two engines there would be enough space on any screen.

With airplanes that are certified, reversers should be seperate too.

I like this, but isn’t this the same thing as this:

Anyway it’s quite old, let’s the mod take a decision.

We need it for the Dash 8. Most of them taxi with just one engine!

Sure would want those propellers to stop one day

Maybe they should have an engine page so that you can start them up realistically it also open up the possibility of an APU

The seperate throttles are present…just not active šŸ˜‹

Airliners with seperate throttles have the ability to ā€œlockā€ them all in place. So it will be a given when seperate throttles are introduced.

I like the idea of powering down one set of engines to N1 60, Having the other two around N1 85

This would be a great idea for experimented pilots on IF. It can allow us to apply reverse on a single engine to get better control over the aircraft on extreme crosswind landings. It would be a great addition to the Simulator in the future!
This is what I mean:

But now with engine start/off we can turn off one engine and taxi with one turned on. On landing, we could use one engine?

What?? I’m pretty sure that has never happened before. Reverse thrust on an airborne aircraft is a huge no-no

He was referring to reverse thrust after touchdown. In the video you can see only the starboard engine is in reverse thrust.

Yeah, I mean what Gary said šŸ˜‰
