Hello community! With the addition of so many amazing and new airports in Infinite Flight, I felt that it would be the perfect time to bring up Ground Boarding Ramps (also known as ADA Ramps). In the United States, airports without jet bridges are required to use ground boarding ramps to load passengers due to the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Americans with Disabilities Act is a landmark civil rights law enacted in 1990 to prevent discrimination against individuals with disabilities. It guarantees equal opportunities in areas like employment, public accommodations, and transportation. These boarding ramps are crucial for wheel chair passengers and those with other mental and physical disabilities to be able to board aircraft (which they cannot do on stairs). You will find these ramps throughout the United States and the world. Some popular airports include Hollywood Burbank Airport, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Key West Airport, Long Beach Airport, and Kona Airport. I think there is a great opportunity for inclusivity in this community by adding these ramps, making aviation accessible to everyone. It would be great if we were given the option to select stairs or a ground boarding ramp to be used on our aircraft depending on the operation. Please leave a vote and let me know what you think.
