I wish i could spot at YMML, cause there are quite a few planes there, and more than YPAD. Also where was the spotting location? I want to know when I visit Melbourne Sometime.

The spotting location for this particular time was on top of the terminal 4 car park.
Yes melbourne gets not as many Intl arrivals as Sydney but we get all the special stuff like atlas air 747 passengers and C17’s etc

Do you get a nice view of the planes landing and taking off on top of the car park or do you have to use a camera to get a better view

From a human eye or phone view you would see the planes in smaller form but you can still see them really clearly, if you want closeups go to the spotting areas at the end of runway 16 and 34 or operations road along 34 or the church at the end of 16, there’s also a public road going along the Melbourne jet base which gets you extra close to the special aircraft that park there including the Jetstar from those photos
