Hey guys since global is coming soon I am trying to organize a World tour in which I am only flying into small airports and not widely know airports.
I would like you guys to give me some suggestions in airports I could fly into and I would like if the airports you suggested had some difficult approaches or some cool looking scenery surrounding the airport.
Thank you!
P.S: I am Planning to use an Airbus A318
What aircraft are you planning on using?
Some of these routes may be helpful -
If you are coming into Ireland there’s a view beautiful ones, Connemara up in Galway (sorry don’t have the ICAO code) it’s a beautiful approach right in the cliffs of mohar, then down south there’s a beautiful regional airport, Waterford airport, EIWF.
Lukla airport. A visual approach will be amazing
KJYO, KTGI, KIDA, KFRR, KOPA. I can go on
Hi do u mind telling me the ICAO code thanks ;)
Lukla airport ICAO code is VNLK :)
An A318 wouldn’t go in VNLK though.
I would suggest you to fly to bolzano. It’s in italy between the alps and you have an approach a little bit like Aspen (between the mountains).
I would suggest Nuuk (GOH) in Greenland - approach has glaciers and obstacles to make it more challenging. Or maybe Kangerlussuaq (SFJ)
Also Minneapolis/St. Paul MSP of course
LFKJ - Ajaccio, great/difficult visual for RWY20
Thank You I will definitely include GOH!
Hopefully I did a fine job editing it :)
Duluth International Airport (DLH) it has a nice approach over Lake Superior.
KMFV/MFV-- Melfa Airport in Virginia, the closest municipal airport to my grandma.
Yeah you did a good job
I’m from Ireland and I would actually say Knock Airport, not galway. A nice flight through the fields of Ireland.
KGUC, which is Gunnison County Airport in Gunnison, Colorado. You can also do the nearby Montrose Airport. Both are capable of hosting 757s.
The cliffs are beautiful though you gotta admit that, after seeing he’s using the A318 I don’t think any of my suggestions would be good as the runways there are definitely to small.
