Sad news coming from Alaska this evening.
A Security Aviation PA-31 carrying three people was flying from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to Seward Airport Friday evening when the flight was reported overdue. Security released a press statement, "It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that on November 29, 2019 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a Security Aviation Piper Navajo with three people onboard was reported overdue and is presumed missing. A search and rescue effort is underway, Security Aviation is working closely with all appropriate agencies, and will issue a full statement when more information becomes available.”

The Alaska State Troopers have taken charge of the Search and Rescue operations and have volunteers looking for the airplane. The State Troopers initiated operations Friday evening when people called in seeing a fire ball in the sky. The US Air Force deployed an aircraft to over fly the site of the possible downed PA-32 but due to weather could not make contact with the site. NTSB is on site, this story is still developing.

Sad story, but you know the rules dude! Small incidences are unfortunate, however they happen frequently. To avoid the forum being full of them, only major incidences are permitted to be discussed.

Cheers!
