I should have gotten a traffic direction on my clearance after my pattern entry on my inbound. I turned right but some pilots may turn left and do a left traffic which may be not what you want.
Debrief of myself here, I should have given pattern entry instructions after your first landing. I’ll be honest Im also not sure my transition altitude instruction was correct. I don’t really understand how all that works and would love to converse with an IFACT to help me understand further.
Yes. After my first touch and go, you could have given a pattern entry to correct for the missing traffic direction with my clearance.
Your transition altitude is fine. The airport is near sea level and 2500ft establishes a 1000ft separation between jets that are in your pattern at 1500ft AAL. If you really wanted to play it safe, you could have given 3000ft but I don’t mind it personally.
it was a guess based off what I thought I remembered from the ATC manual. I will prepare and calculate it in future openings. I want to do airfields at various levels so im well equipped to pass my practical. again thank you for the good workout.
