Every time I play Infinite Flight, around 10 minutes in my screen gets much darker, despite my brightness being turned all the way up. Seemingly at random, the screen sometimes returns to normal brightness in the middle of the flight. This does not occur in any other apps and is not affecting by turning off “True Tone” in settings. This has been going on for over a year so it’s not due to any recent IF or OS updates.

This is most likely your device reducing brightness to prevent it from overheating.
No I’m always playing Infinite Flight out of direct sunlight.
A little bit but it doesn’t seem to be correlated with temperature.
If the brightness slider in the control center doesn’t move, what you describe sounds exactly like it dimming to reduce internal temps.
Brightness turned all the way up + a heavy workload will make an ipad or really any mobile device like it quite warm. If you’re charging that also isn’t helping, as well as an insulating case
Ohh yeah I charge while I’m playing cause my iPad is too ancient to stay charged. I guess I’ll just have to turn the settings down or deal with it. Thanks though.
