Scenery not loading and Server disconnection

Device: iPad Air 5
Operating system: iPadOS 16.4.1

Not really a consistent problem to me, just have a quick question, here’s the context:

Earlier I did a flight to Dubai, everything was normal the entire flight, but when on short final the first problem appeared: airport scenery wasn’t loading. And after I landed with auto approach (because I couldn’t see rwy), I tried to taxi to parking with the in-game map without the scenery, at this time the second problem hits, every other plane on my side is gone, and I couldn’t receive ATC messages, but global server still shows green. Then I taxied to where I thought would be a gate, I found global server became red, and at the moment I clicked those ground services button, the game just automatically disconnected me and returned to the main menu.

I wonder could that be a temporary problem on the servers end or on my internet’s end? Are there any potential relations between the problems?

A bit of extra information: scenery not loading happened to me on my old device, but never happened before on this device, I keep the habit of clearing cache before every flight and graphics are on high, high, high, high, off, and 30fps. Automatic disconnection is the first ever time I’ve seen it.

Hello, it could likely be just a server-related issue but what you described also points to a weak internet connection. Were you close to your router at the time that this happened with a strong connection? Again, in my opinion, it could go either way. Sometimes the servers just have a bit of a moment and like to disconnect people which is something the devs are working on each day. However, if you had a weak connection flying into a scenery-heavy airport like Dubai, that could have come into play as well.

Yeah, very recently I have had a similar problem with airports not loading. These have only been big heavy scenery airports but it gets really frustrating. I find this to be mainly an internet connection problem and since then started flying to other rooms in my house to find a better connection. Thus far this has worked out well. Still, I can only fly out of heavy traffic areas and not into them due to this same issue so it can definitely be server problems.

When this happened everything else seemed fine under the same Wi-Fi. I was in a room next to the WIFI router so there shouldn’t be a weak connection, unless it somehow weakened when the scenery should have been loading. Then it probably led to a glitch which forced the disconnection.

I’ve flown into more heavy traffic on this device, sometimes even after overnight flights and everything went well. So it might just be an occasion where both server and my internet had a little bit of problem at the same time.
