Yeah I think they’re still flying the A310 but sadly it won’t be much longer.
My understanding is that SATA and Air Azores will soon be flying long haul with the A330 exclusively.
I flew out to Terceira / Lajes from Boston Logan in June 2016 on SATAs A310. The return flight from Ponta Delgada to Boston Logan was on the Air Azores A330.
If you want to learn more about SATAs A310 and watch some awesome in flight visit, checkout an account on Facebook and Instagram called “the flying hula”. He’s a pilot at SATA whose a captain on the A310 and very passionate about his bird. Cool guy too who will respond to questions.
They actually use A321neos for their trans-atlantic routes to Boston as well as a leased A340-300 for Toronto and Oakland routes. I think the Azores A330-200 is currently out of service.

They still fly the a310’s. The cabin is quite old though, but as @Nathan said, they are now using the a321neos, althought the a310 is still used in one route. Yesterday i was lucky enough to see their first A321neo in their special livery flying over my house. About the a330s, they are still in use, i saw one flying to Toronto in monday (past week).

This is a beautiful and unique livery for the Dash 8. SATA and Air Azores Currently don’t have any representation in the sim (Aren’t listed in the list of airlines, no liveries).
It would be awesome if we could get this livery. Let’s keep this thread going!

Community, please consider the addition of the SATA livery to the IF Dash 8 fleet.
It’s a beautiful livery and we currently dont have any liveries for SATA or Air Azores in IF.
On a side note, the Azores islands are a wonderful place to fly around with many scenic views and different types of airports (large and small). The winds can also make landings fun and challenging. I recommend checking out the Azores Islands in global if you haven’t already.

They fly from Lajes to Ponta Delgada airport.
I believe they also fly to some of the smaller islands in the Azores archipelago but I’m not 100% sure

Sad not to have this painting on Dash. So many nice and interesting flights that could be made in the Azores… I hope you add this and the A320 from Azores!

I agree 100% with you. When FDS adds more liveries I hope they consider adding an Air Azores or SATA for the Dash 8, A320 and/or A330.
We currently have no SATA or Air Azores liveries in the sim nor do we have the call sign for SATA or Air Azores in the call sign list. I hope that these airlines get some form of representation in IF!

I think developers forgot about this airline. Some airport editors are making 3D buildings for Azores airports. Azores Airlines Dash 8 and A320 are missing.

More Project Açores airports are in the works! With LPPD released, this has to be a must when a completion of project Açores is done!
