Welcome to Guarulhos! Unlike other major airports in Latin America, this airport isn’t located on Brazil’s capital city, which is Brasilia. On this guide, you will find information about procedures, terminals, airlines in operation and more. It will be updated when needed. If you have questions, feel free to send me a PM.

With more than 35 million annual passengers, Guarulhos is considered the busiest airport in South America and the biggest of Brazil. It has two operative runways and it’s surrounded with some terrain on its surrounding areas. Below you can find runway information:

Runways Heading Size (ft) Surface Elevation ILS Equipped
09R 95º 9828 x 147 Asphalt 2,461 ft Yes
09L 95º 12127 x 147 Asphalt 2,461 ft Yes
27R 275º 12127 x 147 Asphalt 2,461 ft Yes

As well as SKBO, Sao Paulo Airport offers a great commercial spot for airlines for its geographical position being the closest biggest airport to major European, Asian and African routes. In fact, many of Santiago or Buenos Aires routes to Europe or Africa make a stop on SBGR. Take a look at the routes that different airlines operate from Sao Paulo-Guarulhos Intl. Airport:

Sao Paulo has got lots of passengers gates and a large cargo section. Keep in mind, that the gates shown in the map below, could not be completely similar to real life operations, but is a good estimate.

Infinite Flight - Terminal Map

Guarulhos Intl. Airport has got parallel runways which are mostly used on the 09s side, however 09L is commonly used for departures and 09R for arrivals. Aircrafts like the a380, are an exemption to this rule as runway 09L/27R is bigger in size. The airport has plans to incorporate Point Merge Procedures in the near future.
